As a short intro, I am an entrepreneur, my first company has been created in 2014 in order to provide diagnostic, skills and competences assessment, to deliver individual coaching sessions, to animate interactive workshops and to articulate recommendations and pragmatic action plans to help companies and organisations be more successful, efficient and effective.

In this blog I share information, insights and regular updates about my objectives (develop future skills, future ventures, build new platforms, apps, services and focus on current development priorities).

My second company (Syntezia Sàrl) has been created in 2022 with the ambition to continue with executive coaching, training for adults and animating workshops, and additionally with the clear mission to accelerate the ecological transition (decarbonisation, ESGTech, Tech4Good) mostly in commodities and energy, in decarbonised mobility, bioeconomy and biodiversity protection, healthcare and wellness, education, creativity and culture, sustainable finance, smart buildings and cities.

I became entrepreneur after having enjoyed working 13 years for Reuters (1999-2007) and Thomson Reuters (2007-2012) in Sales and Customer Service, mostly in Europe Middle East Africa and global roles between 1999 and 2012. I joined Reuters as part of their European Graduate Program and I have been based in these locations : Paris, Geneva, London, Casablanca and Geneva (it seems that the first rotation in Switzerland was attractive enough to come back and stay in the Suisse Romande Region for the last 20 years 😉 !!!).

My last position working for Thomson Reuters, has been Global Program Manager, Sales Efficiency.

Since 2012, Thomson Reuters has undergone a significant transformation, focusing on divesting non-core businesses, investing in new technologies, and expanding its presence in emerging markets.

Divestiture of Non-Core Businesses:

Thomson Reuters has actively divested non-core businesses to streamline its operations and focus on its core financial data and information services. In 2012, the company sold its Healthcare division to Veritas Capital, and in 2016, it sold its Intellectual Property & Science business to Clarivate Analytics. These divestments generated substantial cash proceeds that were used to invest in growth initiatives.

Investment in New Technologies:

Thomson Reuters has invested heavily in new technologies, particularly in the areas of data analytics, artificial intelligence, and cloud computing. These investments have enabled the company to develop innovative products and services that cater to the evolving needs of its customers. For instance, Thomson Reuters launched its Eikon platform, a comprehensive financial data and analytics solution, and acquired Refinitiv, a leading provider of financial data and infrastructure, now LSEG.

Expansion into Emerging Markets:

Thomson Reuters has also expanded its presence in emerging markets, particularly in Asia and the Middle East. The company has established new offices and partnerships in these regions to tap into the growing demand for financial data and information. For example, Thomson Reuters formed a joint venture with China’s Xinhua Finance Information Services to provide financial data and news services in China.

Current State of Thomson Reuters:

Today, Thomson Reuters is a leading provider of financial data and information services, with a strong focus on innovation, technology, and global expansion. The company has a diverse customer base, including banks, asset managers, corporations, and governments. Thomson Reuters is well-positioned for continued growth in the future, driven by the increasing demand for financial data and information in a globalized economy.

Now, after leaving Thomson Reuters in 2012, my personal goal is to share my expertise gained by experience and to learn in the domain areas such as continuing education in leadership, negociation, corporate strategy, emerging digital ecosystem (AI, IOT, Wearables, Creative Commons, Data Analytics, Cloud and Edge Computing), IP and science, open innovation, artificial intelligence, human capital management (head hunting, hiring, HRIS, employer branding, internal mobility, personal development plans, skills and competences assessment, full employee lifecycle, upskilling, burnout prevention, outplacement).

I particuliarly like to coach individuals facing conflicting priorities, individuals motivated to change their life and find the right pivot for their career. Most of the times, they create new ventures.

With trusted business partners, we have fun when we provide on site trainings, workshops.

We can also help with diagnostics, action plans or recommendations for helping your company be more sustainable and reduce CO2 emissions.

Clients call me to be a jury member, to prepare and animate a design thinking workshop, to deliver a masterclass about emerging ecosystems, or to help teams test and prototype their new ideas in real life conditions.

My dream is to enable the rise of a new generation of regen-actors and regenpreneurs to help them solve the wicked problems of our times.

For that purpose, I like to use strategic agility, systems thinking, design thinking (Tim Brown, IDEO, Stanford D School) and simple rules to help them prioritise and simplify complex wicked problems and turn teams into actionable projects.

Syntezia Sàrl has been founded in Geneva in 2022 to build innovative project teams and join wider european and swiss consortia to write winning proposals to maximise ESG impact.

Business coaching

I work with CEOs, C-Levels, VP, advisory boards and their teams, with scale-ups, SMEs, large corporates directly or with the mandate of public or private innovation funding schemes such as : BlueInvest or Horizon Europe, EIC Accelerator, Innosuisse Innoboosters, Eureka Network, EIT, Digital Europe, ERA-NET JPP SES, EUSIC Reimagine Fashion Diogo Challenge, Erasmus +, Interreg to name a few). I have coached innovative scale-ups and SMEs in Belgium, Denmark, France, Germany, Spain, Sweden and Switzerland, notably : 10 SMEs for EISMEA EIC Accelerator, 1 SME for EUSIC, 5 SMEs for BlueInvest (4 in France and 1 in Spain), 5 SMEs who received seed funding from Innosuisse. Working with these various innovation funding schemes has helped me develop my abilities to identify strong points in a team and to assess the project potential, as well as development areas. I then assist CEOs, their teams and key individuals in closing their gaps vs market expectations or investors’ requirements.

Business coaching with ESGTech / Tech4Good and environmental impact in mind

I am influenced by the urgency level of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and the Horizon Europe cluster approach. What matters most in terms of values and action principles to me includes:

  • Tolerance and Non judgment
  • Open Mind, Open Heart, Open Will
  • Passion and Enthusiasm
  • Inclusiveness
  • Fairness and Just Transition
  • Gender Equality
  • Diversity and Mixity
  • Neutrality and Freedom from bias
  • Responsiveness
  • Co-creation, co-design and Co-development
